Remoteli[4] is a tech-led on-demand staffing organisation[5] with HQ in the UK and another office in Ghana.[6] Services include Business Assistance, Customer Service Support, Social Media Management, Business Development and Software Development.[7] In 2022, Remoteli was named Global Startup of the Year at the Startup Awards National Series.[8][9]

Alongside its primary service of connecting businesses with African professionals, Remoteli is in the process of expanding its offerings through the development of a comprehensive suite of tools and resources.[10] These include project management tools, seamless communication channels, time tracking, and invoicing solutions.[11][12]

History[edit]

Remoteli was founded in September 2020 by Samuel Brooksworth.[13][14] The company’s headquarters is in the UK, with an office in the heart of Accra, Ghana.[15] Remoteli also has staff working from Lithuania, Ireland and Canada.[16] To grow its talent pool of staff, Remoteli partners with Universities across Ghana including Ashesi University.[17]

Pathways Partnership[edit]

In January 2024, Remoteli partnered with Jeremie Frimpong, a Dutch professional footballer playing for Bayer Leverkusen, and his Pathways foundation.[18] The initiative, launched in Accra, Ghana, is designed to assist young footballers who may not reach professional leagues in finding opportunities in the corporate world. The initiative provides training, work experience, and networking opportunities in various industries. Remoteli's role in the partnership involves providing essential training and working opportunity for these individuals.[19][20][21]

Investment[edit]

In February 2024, the company announced a £250,000 pre-seed investment round led by Jeremie Frimpong to expand its operations and enhance its platform for connecting global businesses with African talent.[22]

Awards[edit]

In 2022, Remoteli was named winner of the Global Startup of the Year Award at The Startup Awards National Series.[23] In 2023, Remoteli was then named winner of the Rising Star Startup of the Year Award at 2023 Ghana Innovation and Startup Awards.[24]
