Ram Kishore Meena[edit]

Ram Kishore Meena (Born May 30, 1951) is an Indian Politician from Bhartiya Janta Party . He has served as an MLA from Sikrai Constituency in Dausa four times. Served as a Cabinet Minister Twice. He has also worked as former Panchayat Committee Head , District Council Member , Accounts Editor for Government of India, State Vice President (Rajasthan) twice and State President (ST Morcha) in Rajasthan.

Early Life and Education[edit]

Ram Kishore Meena was born on May 30, 1951 to Late Shri Dhanna Lal Ji Meena. He has graduated with MA in Economics. Qualified with L.L.B , along with being the Best Cadet in NCC. He has worked as an Auditor in Central Audit Accounts from 1974-1977.

Political Career[edit]

  • In 1977 at the age of 26, was elected as an MLA for the first time from Sikrai constituency of Dausa.
  • In 1980, became a BJP MLA from the Sikrai constituency for the second time.
  • During the Congress regime in 1984, led a significant movement in Sikandara for making Dausa a district. As a result of this movement, Dausa was declared a district in 1990 - 1991.
  • Elected as the ‘Pradhan’ of Sikrai Panchayat commission in 1988. Was one of the only 9 Pradhans in the state.
  • In 1993, became the first ever BJP candidate from Lalsot. Prior to 1993, this seat was contested by an ally party of the BJP.
  • Won the Sikarai constituency election for the fourth time in 2003 and became a BJP MLA.
  • From 2007 to 2008, served as Cabinet Minister for Labor Employment, General Administration, Property, and Motor Garage Department in the BJP government of Rajasthan.
  • Served as a member of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly's Estimates Committee from 1977 t0 1980, 1980 to 1985, and 2003 to 2006, and as a member of the Finance Committee, Estimates Committee, and ST/SC Welfare Committee. Fulfilled the responsibilities of these committees diligently.

Campaigns and Activities[edit]

  • Acquired land for just one rupee token for the construction of Adivasi Meena Hostel. This Hostel has facilitated many students coming from the backward class to complete their higher education, and amongst them a considerable number is serving in the various departments of state & central governments.
  • Actively participated in the annual commemoration ceremony on November 17 for the sacrifice of 1503 tribals in Mangarh Dham during the country's independence.
  • Contributed significantly to the construction of the museum in recognition of the contribution made by the tribal community in the freedom movement. Also worked on strengthening the party's support base among the tribal community.
  • During his tenure as Labor Minister, successfully organized six major job fairs in the state for unemployed youths. These fairs facilitated employment for 68,000 unemployed youths in various organizations and inspired youths to join BJP positively.
  • Provided necessary financial support at various levels through the Bhamashah scheme and personally on several occasions for the assistance of victims of natural disasters, fire accidents, and the disabled, benefiting thousands of people in the Dausa region during times of crisis. Organized district-level grand narrative programs on several occasions as the guardian of the Jan Kalyan Seva Samiti.
  • Actively involved in the upliftment of marginalized communities such as the backward, Dalits, oppressed, and needy, beyond politics, for social development, youth empowerment, and creating a bright future.
  • Actively participated and encouraged people in programs related to various social concerns such as educational awareness, girls' education, religious events, health awareness, social harmony, patriotism, and national interest, emphasizing societal building and upliftment.
  • Made special efforts for the inauguration of the Govind Guru National Museum in Mangarh Dham. Every year, organize a program on November 17 to commemorate the sacrifice of the immortal martyrs of Mangarh Dham.

Achievements[edit]

During my tenure amongst the Diesel Crisis in the state, implemented the Union Petroleum Act in the state. Rajasthan was positioned at the top in consumer matters in the same period. Was one of the only 9 Pradhans in the state. In the 2023 Assembly elections, secured victory for the BJP in the Sikarai Assembly constituency of Dausa, which had been held by the Congress for the past 15 years. Worked consistently in the constituency, confronting Congress rule and actively participating in various protests against anti-people policies during Congress rule. Have successfully discharged the responsibilities of State Vice President twice in the Rajasthan BJP.
