Päivi Peltokoski (born in 1968) is a Finnish diplomat. She has been appointed to serve as Ambassador of Finland to Cyprus starting in September 2024[1]. Peltokoski will transfer to Nicosia from Ramallah in Palestine, where she has worked as Ambassador of Finland in 2020-2024[2][3]. Before that, she was Director of Unit for Eastern Europe and Central Asia [4][5][6]in the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in 2014-2020. Her career in the Diplomatic Service includes posts in Moscow, Tallinn and St. Petersburg[7]. Peltokoski has extensive experience in Finland's eastern policy in the Ministry for Foreign Affairs[7]. She holds a Master's degree in Political Science from the University of Helsinki. Peltokoski joined the Ministry in 1998.
