Ola Nesheiwat Hawatmeh is an American entrepreneur, fashion designer, and politician. She is recognized for founding Ola Style, an Urban-Chic clothing brand, and Mom Me Makeover, a personal styling company that aids mothers in embracing their styles and confidence.[1][2]
In 2020, Hawatmeh ran for the U.S. House to represent New York's 19th Congressional District.[3]
Early life and education[edit]
Hawatmeh, the daughter of Catholic Jordanian immigrants, was born on February 5 and raised in Yonkers NY. She earned a bachelor’s degree in communication and media studies from Marist College in 1999 before relocating to St. Louis.

In 2008, Hawatmeh established Ola Style, a women-focused brand celebrated for its unique designs tailored for women aged 18 to 35. Her creations have graced New York, Kansas City, Los Angeles, and St. Louis fashion shows.[4] Additionally, she founded Mom Me Makeover, a styling company that empowers new moms to rediscover their confidence and personal style.[5]
Politics[edit]
Hawatmeh returned to Dutchess County in 2019 and ran for the United States House in 2020, representing New York's 19th Congressional District.[6]
Philanthropy[edit]
Hawatmeh is involved in philanthropy through her nonprofit organization, Makeover for a Cause. The organization promotes self-confidence by providing free makeovers to underprivileged women and veterans. She also founded Survivor Fashion Week, a charity event where cancer survivors walk as runway models to raise funds for cancer research.[7]

Hawatmeh has been recognized as the “Most Influential and Top Business Woman in St. Louis” by St. Louis Small Business Monthly in 2014, 2016, and 2017.
