Draft:Kalay massacre
Submission declined on 24 November 2023 by Ca (talk). Yikes, this subject definitely needs more than just two sources to avoid NPOV issues.
The title is also biased, since none of the listed two sources use the term "massacre". Good chance this is a notable event, I suggest finding more reputable sources like you did already. Thanks!

The Kalay massacre occured when the Tatmadaw fired onto protesters while taking down barricades in the town of Kalay during the 2021–2023 Myanmar protests.
Background[edit]
The first instances of clashes between armed protesters and the Tatmadaw in Kalay occurred on March 28. The armed protesters organized themselves into the Kalay Civil Army and proceeded to engage in battles with the Myanmar security forces.[1]
Massacre[edit]
On 7 April 2021, the Myanmar security forces tasked with taking down barricades set up by protesters in Kalay, fired onto the barricades with "...at least 20 rocket-propelled grenades."[2] The security forces fired onto the protesters with rifle fire and in response armed protesters clashed with the security forces throughout Kalay with homemade weapons and hunting rifles. The clashes resulted in the death of 11 protesters and 10 of them being wounded by the security forces.[1]
