John Bisognano is the President of the National Democratic Redistricting Committee (NDRC) and its affiliates, the National Redistricting Foundation and the National Redistricting Action Fund, which were founded by former Attorney General Eric Holder.[1] Before serving as the organization's president, John was the Executive Director.[2] He joined the committee in 2017.[1]
John began his career in politics as an organizer on Barack Obama's 2008 presidential campaign.[1]
In 2011, John worked at the Democratic National Committee as a Regional Political Director. He then served as a Political Director and Communications Advisor for Barack Obama's 2012 reelection campaign.[3]
In 2013, John served as the Executive Director of the Association of State Democratic Chairs at the Democratic National Committee.[4]
In 2015, John served as the White House Associate Director of Public Engagement. In this role, he helped to organize national coalitions around issues such as raising the minimum wage.[5]
In 2016, John served as the Director of the New Hampshire Democratic Party's 2016 coordinated campaign.[4]
John also serves on the board of the National Immigration Law Center's Immigrant Justice Fund,[5] and is a Truman National Security Fellow.
Before politics, John worked in baseball as the Visiting Clubhouse Manager for the Pawtucket Red Sox. He is a Massachusetts native. He holds a B.A. and MBA from Providence College.[1]
