Fitch Means, born William Fitchett Means on February 15, 1998, is an American singer-songwriter.

Early life[edit]

Means grew up in a musically inclined family, he was exposed to a variety of genres from an early age, laying the foundation for his future career as a musician. Influenced by the rich musical heritage of Philadelphia, including legends such as The Roots, Jill Scott, and Boyz II Men, Means developed a deep appreciation for soulful melodies and poignant storytelling.

Beginning his musical journey during his teenage years, Means gained recognition through performances at local venues near his college campus. Operating under his self-established label, he has developed a global following. Critics widely acknowledge his musical abilities, with his latest release, "2AM Drive," maintaining a strong presence on digital music platforms and YouTube.

Raised in Philadelphia's Mount Airy neighborhood by his mother, Charna Patrice Fitchett-Means, Means showed a passion for music early on. Beginning with drumming at six years old, he later honed his vocal skills in his school's gospel choir. Notably, he contributed to an African Drum ensemble featured in the West Oak Lane Jazz Festival's final year, where he performed alongside artists such as Jill Scott. In March 2019, he introduced his first EP, "Declaration," under his self-branded label. Means embarked on "The Orange Print Tour" with Larry June in 2019, showcasing his electrifying performances and promoting his EP "2AM Drive."

Continuing his momentum, Means released his EP "2AM Drive" later in 2019, solidifying his reputation as a dynamic artist. He embarked on the "2AM Drive Tour," captivating fans along the East and West Coasts with his mesmerizing performances.

In 2023, Means reached a milestone with the release of his first album, "Bloodlust." To complement the album, he traveled to Nassau, Bahamas, to shoot captivating visuals, adding depth to his music.

Means also made a cameo appearance in the film "The Ultimate High," which was released in 2024.

Means has openly discussed his struggles with asthma, a condition he has dealt with since childhood. Transitioning to a pescatarian lifestyle in 2020, he has remained committed to this dietary choice despite encountering occasional obstacles.
