Carine Wolf-Thal is a French pharmacist. She is president of the National Council of the Order of Pharmacists . In 2022, she was awarded the Legion of Honor.[1][2]
Life[edit]
Carine Wolf-Thal obtaining her pharmacy diploma in 1991. She became a pharmacist in charge of a community pharmacy in Rouen in 2007 .[3]
Previously, she was a member of the National Council of the Order of Pharmacists, for two years . In 2017, she became president of the National Council, following Isabelle Adenot . She is re-elected in 2019 and in 2022 .[4]
Sshe is in favor of the prescription of certain medications by pharmacists in 2018 . She favored of the position of the Minister of Health , Agnès Buzyn opposed to the sale of medicines in supermarkets as recommended by the Competition Authority. She explained the front-line role of pharmacists in the world of health in the newspaper Le Monde. She discussed the mechanisms of drug shortages and the increase in attacks on pharmacists.[5][6]
During the Covid-19 pandemic , she asked that pharmacists be able to sell masks that meet AFNOR standards. She intervened in the face of the shortage of self-tests.[7]
In 2021, she was elected president of the International Confederation of French-speaking Orders of Pharmacists.[8]
