BADHAN started the journey from Dr. Muhammad Shahidullah Hall of Dhaka University .It is a purely non-political, non-sectarian, non-regional, non-ethnic, secular and voluntary social organization.
At present, Bandhan is continuing this volunteering activity through 78 educational institutions, 12 zones, 141 units and 3 families in 54 districts of the country. Unlike others in blood donation campaign, Bandhan works at its own pace. The vision of this organization is to create a society where thousands of graduate/post graduate level students are 'always ready' to donate blood immediately for patients and thus try to save thousands of endangered lives. Since its establishment, it has been working with its own spirit and ideals despite many adversities.
BADHAN has its own app. Information of about 60,000 blood donors from 58 districts of the country has already been added to the Bandhan app. This number is increasing gradually. most of the 60,000 blood donors who are interested in donating blood are university and college students.[3] [4]
AIM AND OBJECTIVE[edit]
To initiate social movements to build a healthy society through voluntary blood donation campaign, and other services and awareness programs.
Programme[edit]
To encourage the students and young generation of Bangladesh to donate blood voluntarily. Free blood group test, voluntary blood donation for patients. Motivating people for voluntary blood donation and participating in service and awareness programs. Undertake relief and rehabilitation programs to overcome natural and man-made disasters.
