Anthony Tieku (born March 16, 1974)[1] is a Ghanaian professional footballer[2][3] who plays as a left-back for the Ghana national teams.[4] Widely known in Ghana for his days as a player for Accra Hearts of Oak in the Ghana premier league,[5] he played for Accra Hearts of Oak in Ghana,[6] He won the Ghana First Division league in the 1989/1900[5][7] season and played through the 1992/1993 football season, then continued in the 1993/1994 season, and lastly played in the 1994/1995 season before he left for Germany in the year 1996 and played for FSG Schiffweiler.[8]

In July 2001, during the Bundesliga 2, He was moved from Saarbrucken to Oberhausen.[9] During his tenure at Rot-Weiß Oberhausen from 2001 to 2005, he participated in 62 matches, netting three goals for the club. Following Rot-Weiß Oberhausen's relegation to the Regionalliga Nord in 2005, he left the club and transitioned to TuS Koblenz, a team competing in the Southern Regionalliga at the time.[1]
