Alexandra Harwood is a British composer, most known in recent years for her scores for film and TV.
She has three children[1].
Career[edit]
Harwood initially studied classical composition: she graduated from the Royal College of Music, where she studied with Joseph Horovitz[2], and The Juilliard School (Master of Arts), where she was composer-in-residence for the Juilliard Drama Division.[3] [4] [5]
In 2013, she then graduated with an MA from the National Film and Television School in London[6]. A few years later, in 2016, she wrote the score for Disney and Netflix's film Growing Up Wild[7][8].
In 2018, she composed the score for the feature film The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society[9].
In 2019, she composed scores for both the Ballet Geisha for the Northern Ballet and Thatcher: A Very British Revolution, a BBC Documentary Series.[10][11] [12]
She has scored the music for the series All Creatures Great and Smallsince 2020[13].
