Dagnija Staķe (born 3 September 1951, Vietalva parish)[1] is a Latvian politician affiliated with the Latvian Farmers' Union. She served as the Minister of Regional Development and Local Governments of Latvia from 13 May to 3 November 2010.[2]
Staķe has been active in various roles in Latvian politics and public service. After her term as Minister of Regional Development, she became a parliamentary secretary at the Ministry of Health until October 2011. Despite not being re-elected in subsequent Saeima elections, she continues to contribute to public life.
In addition to her political career, Staķe is involved in academia. She serves as the Director of the Social Work Study Programme at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) and is an active member of the academic staff in the Department of Welfare and Social Work. She co-authored the book "Sociālais darbs. Izglītība, pētniecība, prakse" published in 2021[3].
Staķe also celebrated her 70th birthday in 2021, expressing gratitude for her long life and the support of her family[4].
