Cosmo Lombino, also known as the Queen of Melrose, is an American stylist, fashion designer, entrepreneur and internet personality.[2] She[a] has personally styled celebrities and is known for her three boutiques on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles, California.[4][5]

Early life[edit]

Lombino grew up in Harlem, New York, as the son of a mobster.[6] Lombino's family moved to Encino, Los Angeles after her father was affiliated with the 1978 Lufthansa heist.[7][8]

Career[edit]

In the 1980s, Lombino began working as a stylist at a clothing store on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles, California.[9] The store was frequented by celebrities such as Madonna.[10][11] Lombino also worked as a drag queen on Santa Monica Boulevard alongside RuPaul.[12] In 2010, Lombino opened her own boutique, Cosmo's Glamsquad, on Melrose Avenue. She has since opened two additional boutiques on the same street: Cosmo & Donato, and Shoe Whore.[13] She has personally styled celebrities such as Nicki Minaj, Nicole Kidman, Beyoncé, Shaquille O'Neal, CeeLo Green, and Erykah Badu.[4][5]

Personal life[edit]

Lombino identifies as a gay man, but prefers she/her pronouns.[14][3] She is also comfortable with he/him and they/them pronouns.[3] She has an identical twin brother named Joe Lambino.[15] Lombino has been compared to reality television personality Big Ang.[2]
