Is the DRV process necessary?

The category current says, "Requests should be made at Wikipedia:Deletion review/Content review." Isn't the purpose of this category to provide an alternative to Wikipedia:Deletion_review#Temporary_review? If editors are to simply direct all requests to the DRV section, what's the point of finding someone through this category? I don't think it's a big deal since requests are usually granted regardless of the process and both routes are fairly painless, but I was somewhat surprised and confused by notice on this category page. — xDanielx ^T/_C\^R 10:13, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

Add this to template

Can we please add a link to this category to the template users see when the article they created is deleted? I think most contributors (especially new ones) are unaware of it. Sarsaparilla (talk) 05:18, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

If you want to do it yourself, the templates are listed here under Deletion notifications >> CSD deletions. No opinion on whether a link to the category ought to added -- perhaps it useful in some cases, but probably not many (by my rough speculation). The deleted content was a redirect. I left a note on your talkpage showing you where someone placed it. Generally, either request copies of the material at Deletion Review or contact one of the admins listed here. Requests here won't be seen. ~Kylu (u|t) 15:12, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

Who to send deleted article request?

My page, Imagen Inc was deleted and I would like a copy of it. Who do I send the request to? Do I just pick one of the names at random? Or is there someone I should send it to in particular? Allow anyone to retrieve copies of deleted articles

No offence intended to Ikip, but what is the purpose of this section? It's an entirely unscientific poll, and it seems the "results" are based on allowing only a few hours for a reply. I would strongly suggest removing it as it is not really in keeping with Wikipedia tradition to "rate" individual editors - especially with the current section title. The sorting issue

The main page may have some sorting issue, some admins under wrong letters. Is there any good reason for that, or should I correct it. Kasaalan (talk) 18:01, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

It's because someone just adding [[Category:Wikipedia administrators who will provide copies of deleted articles]] to their userpage will have themselves listed as User:Foo, which goes into U. To be listed under the correct name, a user should add [[Category:Wikipedia administrators who will provide copies of deleted articles|USERNAME HERE]]. Stifle (talk) 08:21, 11 May 2009 (UTC)

Request to take a look at a page

Hi, I had created a page in mainspace called Bengali Email. It was marked for speedy deletion and an admin looked at but still deleted it because that person felt it was an ad. later I created in my user space User:Skchandon/Bengali_Email. I have tried to explain my point of view but he replied once and after I had corrected the issues he never replied back. I am hoping some other admin will take a look at my page without any prejudice. Incidently today I was looking at the xampp article and based on that I am making this request. Request to get a copy of List of Skulduggery Pleasant characters

Hello @Xeno:, is this still something you provide to people?
