Guidelines[edit]

The guidelines are a little hazy. Is this category (and even more confusingly it's national and other sub-cats) intended to include formal bodies of church governence? Like a denomination and/or it's main governing body like a synod or smaller bodies like a diocese (see: Category:Dioceses)? For example does the Anglican Diocese of Edmonton go under Category:Religious organizations established in 1913? Category:Religious organizations based in Canada? Category:Anglican organizations? All of them, none of them? --Kevlar (talkcontribs) 23:13, 22 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, all of them. Organizations of religious people are organised by religion within Category:Religious faiths, traditions, and movements, and also by date and location within this category.
Note that Category:Faith-based organizations was merged here, per consensus at Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2016 May 23. – Fayenatic London 13:37, 2 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
