Many of these fires are not "natural" because they were started by humans even if they now burn continuously. Perhaps this category should just be named "Persistent Fires"? 66.211.104.160 (talk) 00:14, 25 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The idea was to leave out "eternal flames" artificially built by humans. The ones in temples are basically tamed natural flames. There was a bit of a discussion to get to the current name, and it was already renamed. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 00:50, 25 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
