cats or articles[edit]

why does this cateogry contain a mixture of country categories and country articles? why not one or the other?

Er, I think that may be my fault. A long time ago, I was repopulating the category which used to be automatically (and inappropriately) populated by a template, but stalled when I realised what a mess there was with country categorization and I had no idea whether it was the countries or cats or both that should be categorized. Somehow I moved onto other things and forgot about this, but obviously the thought stayed in my mind, hence the current RfC. Now it popped up on my watchlist and I remember what first made me want to get this sorted out. Anyhow, when the RfC reaches some sort of conclusion, we'll know what to do with this category and many others like it.--Kotniski (talk) 08:42, 18 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
