The reason why Greenland articles should be double-stubbed in this way is that there are not yet enough stubs to reach criteria for a separate greenland-geo-stub template or category, but WikiProject Stub sorting uses the geo-stub categories to determine when there are enough stubs to create new categories. Listing the stubs in both the Greenland category and the Denmark geography category allows three groups of people to find the articles easily:
People editing Greenland articles;
People editing geography articles;
Stub sorters checking the number of geography articles.
If the stubs are not placed in Category:Denmark geography stubs, then the stub sorters will think that there are less Greenland geography stubs than there really are, and will be less likely to deem a new separate category worthwhile. Grutness...wha? 02:28, 2 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
