Publisher of two mags Gargoyle and Boulevardier and author of several books. Published several of Hemingways earliest pieces and promoted greats works like pablo picaso, henri mattise, Paul Cizanne, etc. He wrote two biographies...Henry Murger and Jocques Offenbach.
