Anne Leuchars is a former broadcaster, journalist and news reader who is best known for presenting for ITV News and BBC Radio Newcastle.

Life and career[edit]

Leuchars has worked at HTV West in Bristol, Border TV in Carlisle, Central TV in Nottingham, and also spent 10 years in London with ITN as a newsreader and reporter.[1]

She then spent five years as information officer with Northumberland National Park before joining the BBC in Newcastle.[2]

Leuchars presented the afternoon news programme alongside Jon Harle on BBC Radio Newcastle until 2016.[3]

In 2015, Leuchars released a walking book on hiking with her friend Debby Waldron.[4]
