Aliaa debuted internationally as a junior at the 2018 African Championships in Cairo. She won medals in every event: gold in teams and with hoop and clubs, silver in the all-around and with ball, and a bronze with ribbon.[2]

In 2019 she was selected for the inaugural junior World Championships in Moscow. Egypt was 23rd in the team competition, and Saleh finished 16th with ball and 46th with clubs.[3]

As a senior, at the 2020 African Championships in Sharm el-Sheikh, she won gold in teams and silver with ball.[4]

In 2022 she took part in the World Cup in Baku, taking 35th place in the All-Around, 37th with hoop, 25th with ball, 35th with clubs, 39th with ribbon.[5] In June she competed at the African Championships in Cairo, where she won gold in teams, in the all-around, and with ball and ribbon, and in addition to two silver medals with hoop and clubs.[6][7][8][9][10] In September, she was selected for the World Championships in Sofia. She was 45th in the All-Around, 42nd with hoop, 37th with ball, 56th with clubs and 58th with ribbon.[11][12]

She started the 2023 season by taking part in the World Cup in Sofia, finishing 34th in the all-around, 25th with hoop, 33rd with ball, 28th with clubs and 46th with ribbon.[13] At the 2023 African Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Moka, she won gold in teams and with ball, and silver in the all-around and with hoop.[14][15][16][17] She once again represented Egypt at the 2023 World Championships and finished in 52nd place.[18]

Saleh won the all-around at the 2024 African Championships.[19] Her placement gave her an individual berth to compete at the 2024 Summer Olympics.[20] In the event finals, she won two additional gold medals (hoop and ball), a silver (ribbon), and a bronze (clubs).[21][22][23][24]
