Agustín Remiro

Agustín Remiro (August 28, 1904 – June 21, 1942) was a Spanish anarchist, CNT member and military leader during the Spanish Civil War.

Biography

Born into a peasant family, he became an anarchist at age 15 and joined the CNT. He did two years of military service during the Rif War in Morocco and participated in underground anarchist organising in Épila during the Primo de Rivera dictatorship. He participated in the Anarchist insurrection of December 1933 and held the first civil wedding in Épila.[1]
