  • June - Gustav Vasa is elected King in Strängnäs and the Kalmar Union is thereby formally dissolved.
  • June - The city of Stockholm is taken by the Swedes after the Conquest of Stockholm.
  • June - Stockholm Castle is taken by the Swedes.
