Yuhanon Policarpos is Metropolitan of Angamaly Diocese of Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church.[1][2][3]

Policarpos was born in Vadakkanchery, Palakkad and graduated from the University of Kerala with a Masters degree in Sociology.[4] He was ordained sub-deacon on 25th March 1977, deacon on 8th December and priest on 7th January 1980.

Before becoming Metropolitan, Policarpos was the manager of Koratty Sion Seminary and Parumala Seminary, as well as being a chaplain and directing a Health centre and a Boy’s Home; he also founded the Baselius Vidya Nikethan Senior Secondary School.[4]
