The IP has a history of spamming links to multiple cruise-related sites. The whois on the RIPE Database query service returns a description of "www.cruise.co.uk Ltd", suggestion a COI. And, the IP admitted one themselves with this edit.

The IP is currently blocked, and has received a post to their talk page from Toddst1 (talk · contribs) informing them that they are now subject to a topic restriction prohibiting them from ever editing any articles related to vacations, cruises and/or cruise ships.

Hopefully, the block and topic restriction will resolve the issue; but logging here in case more user accounts become involved. --- Barek (talk • contribs) - 16:53, 3 June 2011 (UTC)

It appears that User:Cpg87's role on wikipedia is to promote Fabric_(club) and market any album which that particular club publishes, which is practically this user's entire edit history in wikipedia Special:Contributions/Cpg87. With the exception of Bella-doctor, these users are already blocked for spamming ckdsite.com. Newer (to us) site pkdsite.com is just a different front page for ckdsite.com. This is a Chinese medicine site of no value to the English Wikipedia. Blocking individual spammers has no effect, as they just register another userid and continue. Apparently a reliable source, but a user who probably has a conflict of interest began spamming it on a bunch of wind farms (Biglow Canyon Wind Farm, Meadow Lake Wind Farm, Capricorn Ridge Wind Farm). Text added was SEO-style spam- as an example: "For more information on the Meadow Lake Wind Farm and over 600 others visit the [http://www.windpowerengineering.com/wind-project-map/ United States Installed Wind Project Map] from Windpower Engineering and Development."

Obviously not appropriate for the blacklist, posting here because I spent some time cleaning it up and I like documenting things in case they become a pattern of spam. tedder (talk) 20:27, 22 June 2011 (UTC)

Tedder: Thanks for the heads up. I'm new to Wikipedia contributions and wasn't aware (understandably my own fault) that posting these "SEO style links" was considered spam. That being said, I do think the resource I've been linking to is valuable to the readers of this Wikipedia page. I've spent hundreds of hours compiling the data found on the "U.S. Installed Wind Project Map" and it's data that I tried to find on Wikipedia to no avail. IP has repeatedly reinserted external links in the impossible bottle and other articles after they have been removed by multiple editors.[23][24][25][26][27][28]. Has been asked to desist on IP talk page and the issue was raised on the article talk page. Attempts to communicate have all been ignored and IP simply continues to edit war. Please block. Despite repeated warnings about spamming and conflict of interest problems, this user continues to post promotional links to "bio files" he has written in the biographies of various sporting personalities. He has made no effort to respond to any of the warnings or explain his edits. I checked all the contributions, and they are nothing but spam.
