A Couple of ideas[edit]

It might be worth putting a link into the SPES catalogue. It might also be worth seeing if there may be material that could go up on Wikisource there. I would appreciate a session with someone more familiar with Wikisource showing how it can be approached easily. Leutha (talk) 10:18, 6 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, good point re WikiSource - I will ask around at the AGM. ϢereSpielChequers 21:04, 6 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thoughts[edit]

It might be better to be given a list of articles that don't exist, or are stubs, rather than a long well developed article to work on. It is intimidating for novices (and for me) to be given the print out of a long article and asked to improve it using some thick books from a library. Even if you find something to add it tends to get lost in the article and the participants probably don't get much sense of satisfaction. If they create an article or extend a stub it seems a more worthwhile exercise? I also found that some of the articles on the "hit list" in fact already existed. Agreed that would be better for stuff on the day. We did get one of the Conway hall people who had taken an article away and literally red penned it, so I would like to have a mix. Jonathan Cardy (WMUK) (talk) 11:15, 31 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
