Dank Very late to the party. I think his refusal to bowl Bodyline is really significant in his story. Too late to edit? --Dweller (talk) Become old fashioned! 09:00, 31 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestion:

Gubby Allen (1902–1989) was a cricketer who captained England in eleven Test matches. In first-class matches, he played for Middlesex and Cambridge University. A fast bowler and hard-hitting lower-order batsman, Allen refused to adopt indimidatory tactics in the Bodyline series, and was appointed England captain in 1936.
