BRFA 11[edit]

BRFA 11 (Wikipedia:Bots/Requests for approval/DannyS712 bot 11) has been approved. Best regards, — xaosflux Talk 21:58, 20 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Xaosflux: Just to double check, is this approved to run on individual category pages, or from the main page? For the trial, I ran it from individual categories, but it would be more efficient to run them all at once. I pinged TheSandDoctor asking about that, but they hadn't answered. Thanks, --DannyS712 (talk) 22:02, 20 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@TheSandDoctor and DannyS712: - the "how" isn't that important, the "what happens" is - so long as this task only removes polluted article categories from the User: namespace, runs at a sensible rate, and has a good edit summary you have a lot of latitude on how you approach it. Is there a component that you are thinking about that I didn't cover? — xaosflux Talk 23:30, 20 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Xaosflux: I just wanted to confirm that I could run it on all the categories at once with this approval, since that was not tested in the trial. Thanks, --DannyS712 (talk) 23:32, 20 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@DannyS712: yes, though you need to supervise it to make sure it is working properly when you make some minor changes like that, since the outcome is going to be the same it is fine. — xaosflux Talk 23:34, 20 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Xaosflux: Okay, thanks --DannyS712 (talk) 23:35, 20 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
