At first I received the article link in an email as a joke. I followed the link and I was amazed by the following facts that were no joke at all: 1) Bits and pieces of individual parts of information were placed in such a delicate manner so that the French expression points to Ellas and Ellines (Greece and Greeks). As Ellin, I have worked in most of Europe and have seen cases of Zamanfou, largely expressed by other fellow citizens of other European countries. There is no good reason to relate the expression to Ellas at all. There are plenty of BAD reasons to relate it to Ellas and this reduces the factual and encyclopaedic basis of the article. 2) The article as a whole is an opinion that may well be expressed by the freedom to write. I am sure that there are plenty of blogs for Ellenic and Anti-Ellenic writings. Inside Wikipedia this article becomes an offence for both the Country and the Nation of Ellas. 3) The article does not contain historical facts. Rather it uses loosely related terms trying to crystalize on ficticious opinions and formulate a term in direct relation to the Ellenic nation, causing only harm to Ellines. 4) The External links part of the article points to Anti-Ellenic books and beliefs of certain individuals. How proud can any Country and Nation of this Earth be, if the Encyclopaedia articles are written by persons that are against it? 5) My children and your children and their children are most likely going to learn history and be educated by forms of knowledge like the respected work of Wikipedia. It is therefore, mandatory for citizens of each country to inspect and criticise any inaccurate, not historic and misleading act against each nation.
