Without a good reason?[edit]

@Some Gadget Geek: @TenPoundHammer: In what sense is reverting horseplay that is screwing up good faith AFD submissions so that they wind up not getting recorded here where they belong not a good reason for not restoring the proper state of this page? If there's a consensus somewhere that I missed to interfere with the proper operation of this page for the sake of a gag, please point it out. Largoplazo (talk) 02:48, 1 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

OK, that answers that. I'm curious, though, whether the people contributing to the consensus also settled on arrangements for cleaning up the damage afterwards (since what characterizes a good joke is that no harm is done; I wouldn't have said a thing if Twinkle had operated properly and hadn't produced error messages). In this case, I'd say it was definitely disruptive to mess up the pre-existing formatting of the page. I believe Twinkle relies on the proper formatting (the "Add new entries to the TOP of the following list" comment, specifically) to be there, so fixing that fixed Twinkle. Hopefully we all learn from this; I'm rewording WP:FOOLS to try to remove any misunderstanding. ansh666 04:37, 1 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
(by the way, User:KAP03 was the one who messed it up) ansh666 05:16, 1 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
