E-wrestling is just something fun to do. It may be weird to some people, but how can you just delete something just because you don't like it? I for one, am a professional e-wrestler and totally disagree with your logic. Do not victimize Matt or the HIW by deleting this site. -- Nomak

While I am tempted to argue this point itself, I think the case for HIW as an internet phenomenon is made quite compellingly on the project page, if one is willing to use basic inference. According to the e-federation page, most do not outlast a few weeks, and those few that do are kept afloat by a core of veteran e-fedders. HIW currently has over 30 active writers, 1 of which has been there since the beginning in 2001. Since then, there have been several "generations" of writers who have moved through the ranks to the top. Each incarnation of HIW has bred its own succesful talents, a claim quite unique from other e-federations. HIW hosts a variety of unique phenomena, like Match Roleplay and Recap Roleplay, as well as annual tournaments like the I-Crown. Such things have never been seen in e-wrestling before, and as such HIW is a phenomena.
