Wikipedia talk:Articles for deletion/Arpan Khanna
As we approach the 2019 Canadian federal election. I suggest we should not consider deleting the nominated candidate from the major parties at least before the elections and we have similar pauses in the month before elections in other countries.
My reasoning is that as we approach the election, there are often arguments made to wait until the election to determine whether the candidate is successful (especially in areas where it is likely that a candidate from a particular party will win). In addition, there are often more supporters close to an election who care about keeping their candidate's page as a campaign tool. By procedural keeping articles and then renominating them after the election, we can have a better sense of who is and who is not notable, outside of the intensity of a political campaign.
We can keep a running list of nominated (or potentially nominated) articles about unelected candidates to bring back for deletion after elections.
