Appeals committee

[edit]

If this committee is being created specifically to deal with appeals from administrative actions, it should probably have NON-administrators as at least half its members. (Don't worry, I am not volunteering.) I have noticed that some administrators tend to back up other administrators (when they're not fighting with each other, that is.) And, needless to say, extreme care would have to be taken in selecting the members of such a committee. I personally think it would be better if the Arbitration Committee, which is (in effect) elected directly by the editors, could find some way to deal with these matters itself rather than delegating it to some appointed group. 6SJ7 (talk) 17:01, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
