Participants?

[edit]

Maybe I jumped the gun, I added my name to the Participant page (which was blank) and thought it would pull in to the main page but that isn't how it worked. If I messed it up, I apologize, please feel free to move my name to wherever it's supposed to go at the appropriate time. Thank you, looking forward to participating. Well I'll keep you company there for now. Penny Richards (talk) 00:23, 29 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hooray I am in good company. I find your alphabet runs inspiring! Jessamyn (talk) 20:12, 29 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Some possible subjects

[edit]

I just started an article on the Federal Woman's Award, which was given to about six women a year between 1961 and 1976. It's mostly a listing of the recipients each year. Some already have articles, and some might not have been based in the DC area for the purposes of this contest, but others would meet this contest's requirements. Also, this article won't submit as an entry at Fountain, because it started as a list in my sandbox in 2019. But it became an article today and most of the work on it was today. (I don't mind, but in case anyone has a similar situation, I thought I'd describe what happened.) Penny Richards (talk) 00:38, 4 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Disappointed

[edit]

I was disappointed to see that a draft I'd been working on (someone else started it but it was mostly copyvio and hard to read) and substantially changed mostly today doesn't qualify because the original draft creation was in November but I hadn't even thought about it until this event reminded me to fix it up. :( YODADICAE👽 19:19, 12 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Adding to the tally?

[edit]

Via the DC100 red list, I just found Ernestine McClendon in drafts, apparently created by two new editors—perhaps at an editathon related to this contest? It was left in drafts but in great shape so I moved to main. Not sure how best to add to the tally since I can’t claim credit for it but the article count keeps ticking upward! 2022!

[edit]

Oh nice, I wasn't aware that this was going to be an annual thing but now I am excited because it's that much more challenging. Jessamyn (my talk page) 16:54, 12 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
