Torchic

Request: I've been working a lot on this article, and wanted a few tips on where to improve next. I know the In the anime section is pitiful, so don't comment on that, and help with notes and refs would be good. Much thanks Highway 20:42, 19 March 2006 (UTC)

This is a very good article. I know nothing about Pokemon, and it seems to contain an appropriate level of jargon - not so much that I can't follow the article, and enough to likely satisfy the Pokemon fan. One thing I will say is that the article is somewhat confusing as to whether "Torchic" is a single character, or one of many. For example, you indicate that it is a "species", which suggests that there are more than one - like there could be a group of torchics. Other places in the article talk about it as if it is a singlular character in the game/show/comic etc. Aguerriero 16:49, 5 April 2006 (UTC)

Ah, thank you for your comments, they are very well appreciated. As to explain, in the first half of the article (intro --> video games) are referring to Torchic as a species. Anime onwards are referring to individual, specific Torchic. These are owned by specific characters in general. That is explains it very well, and paraphrasing would probably be appropriate for somewhere near the top of the article. Something like, "This article discusses Torchic as a species of pokemon that are available to game players, as well as a character appearing in Pokemon anime, etc." Aguerriero 12:33, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
