Well, Carol Thatcher (daughter of Margaret Thatcher), and Tony Blair and various other prime ministers were born in 1953, when Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay first "conquered" Mount Everest.

I have no idea how the numbers are relevant or what the list is. The list needs lots of entries - for example, List of asteroids/1–1000, but 60 Echo, 183 Istria, 209 Dido, and 802 Epyaxa don't seem all that important.

The 69% vote seems to refer to the French referendum on the European Constitution(although, in fact, it was 55% "no" vote out of a turnout of 69%).

Knights Of The Garter[edit]

Edmund Hillary,conqueror of Everest is a member of the Order_of_the_Garter, list being List_of_Knights_and_Ladies_of_the_Garter.

The daughter of another PM : Mary_Soames,_Baroness_Soames, daughter of Winston_Churchill.

Ah! The question is who else should be on the list (I am assuming the list in question is still Line of succession to the British Throne). The only other monarch I can see is Constantine II of Greece, number 423. His page says that only 31% supported the retention of the monarchy in Greece in 1974 (that is, 69% did not), so I guess we are taking about him. His wife, Queen Anne-Marie of Greece, is also in the list in her own right as number 221, followed by their children. -- ALoan (Talk) 01:01, 3 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
