Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron[edit]

I completely rewrote this entire article after a period of research and development. It has never looked like a true encyclopedia article, which I hope I have remedied. I have added several pictures, including an in-game screenshot. All images have fair use rationale and the appropriate license tags.

Please take a look at the article and let me know your opinion. I'm a new Wikipedian and this is my first major edit, so please be candid so I can develop good editing habits. I followed a rough template of video game featured articles to format the page, so it should read smoothly. The one specific issue I couldn't resolve was in the References section - citation #6 isn't formatting properly, so if anyone could help me fix it, I'd appreciate it.

    • It was fixed by a good samaritan.

    • What makes File:RenegadeScreen.jpg special? I.e. why is it special enough to be included in the article? What unique features of the game soes it represent? Add this to the fair-use rationale on the image page; it'll help you get through WP:GAN and (if you go this far) WP:FAC.
    • Same thoughts with File:ColSerra.jpg.
      • Good point...I'm still mulling on it myself.
    • Out of curiosity...I thought that the plot went second right after the lead?
      • In the Video game project's notes on style, gameplay is recommended to go after the lead.
    • Now assuming that you are going to take this to FAC sometime...:
      • Refs, refs, refs. The FAC people looooove refs so they can ensure that the article in question follows WP:V.
      • This means that every paragraph, every sentence, needs to be cited (unless it's something you'd learn in 4th grade. 2+2=4 does not need a ref).
      • Having said that, plot summaries are an exception and do not need refs, but if you can find a reliable summary somewhere, it can't hurt to add in additional citations (if you want :)
      • So, looking through, I would think that the "Gameplay" section would need more refs, but ask a WP:VG person on that - I'm not sure.
      • The "Development" section will have to be expanded with 'behind-the-scenes' stuff...I don't know which of thiese apply, but food for thought: how were characters designed? The scenery? How was Battlefront transferred from PS2 to PSP? An entirely new design (as this article implies), but were any parts copied over from BFII and re-used?
    • The "In English" part in refs is not needed; if no language is specified, English is implied.
  • Apologies if any of these are dumb comments, as I'm a MILHIST guy. ;) —Ed 17 (Talk / Contribs) 20:24, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Thanks for the comments! I'll get to work. Vantine84 (talk) 10:42, 19 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
