Wikipedia:WikiProject League of Copyeditors/Completed Articles Archive/December 2006

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
  • The style for this article still seems choppy, but should be okay. --Sigma 7 02:32, 3 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Proofread - one reference is missing, but looks good. --Sigma 7 03:00, 3 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • *sigh* all the scholarship I lavished on the article will be wasted. Rintrah 08:21, 7 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • One last change is replacing "EP" and "LP" with more familiar terms. While most people know the difference, the media is much more important than it's length. --Sigma 7 18:36, 7 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Done. Left EP intact, but changed LP to album.Galena11 15:24, 18 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • I checked over this article - given it's a major change, it still needs another pair of eyes. The most major change involved the intro that was cloning too much info from 1080p but had red links. --Sigma 7 21:39, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I checked; does not appear to have copyedit problems Hmains 20:52, 17 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No copyedit problems, but the style is a bit repetitive. --Sigma 7 23:04, 18 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Change management auditing: I have tried to make this article readable from the stew of buzzwords and confusing sentences this article originally consisted of. In doing so, I might have introduced inaccuracies, though at least my version makes more sense. Please review. Rintrah 07:19, 3 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • I do not see copyedit problems; I do not see content problems; this is in line with the change management processes at my software job. Hmains 20:52, 17 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Ann Purzner: I cleaned up someone's attack page. Rintrah 03:18, 18 December 2006 (UTC); Done! Galena11 20:58, 20 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Wild Things Rintrah 14:09, 9 December 2006 (UTC); Done! Galena11 21:30, 20 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Al-Mu'tamid: I copyedited this confused account into something equally confused but hopefully better written. I leave the proofreading to you at your pleasure. Rintrah 12:35, 18 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Sorry, Rintrah--I re-edited this one after you did, I think. It could probably use one more set of eyes before we call it "final". Also note: My style guide didn't have any guidance on Islamic proper names, so I checked related articles and it appears that the "al-" in this name (and similar names) is not capitalized, except at the beginning of sentences. If anyone else knows differently, please edit accordingly. Thanks! Galena11 23:30, 18 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hmains did a copyedit after this posted (thanks, Hmains!), so I think we're ok on this one.Galena11 17:06, 21 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
That's ok. I was so confused, I didn't know what I was doing. The article needed a reorganisation, which I was too lazy to do. Rintrah 09:00, 22 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
looks ok Hmains 21:10, 17 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
made some minor changes--done now! Galena11 21:50, 21 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I do not see any copyedit problems. Hmains 20:58, 17 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Proofread complete! Galena11 03:48, 22 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Alexandre Frota: Brazilian reality/porn star. Short. Galena11; Done. The article has not enlightened me intellectually. Mind you, the article on the Puerto Rican wrestler Blitz has not either.
  • İmam bayıldı - Also has a recipe section which I'm not sure whether to delete. IrisWings 01:22, 17 December 2006 (UTC); I deleted the recipe--it seemed out of place for wikipedia. Galena11 16:27, 22 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Mattress IrisWings 06:53, 12 December 2006 (UTC); Done! Galena11 20:55, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Bakersfield, California This has almost exhausted my patience. If anyone else wants to help, please do everything from Highways. It is too big. I am getting continually growing more frustrated with it and putting less effort into it.Rintrah 14:43, 20 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • OMG, it's down to 30k. Someone please take a final look. :) IrisWings 06:21, 7 December 2006 (UTC) (P.S. I reorganized the sections but didn't change anything you'd done, Rintrah.)[reply]
  • Referenced (5!) and overhauled the Highway and culture section; so now it's just everything after Culture :) --Brisbane2000 15:19, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Edited the rest as well, think it's ready for a proofread. Brisbane2000 22:20, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Done! Praise the lord and pass the whiskey! Galena11 21:41, 28 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Blautopf: I was tempted to remove all imperial system measurements, but this probably would have exposed me as anti-American. Rintrah 15:02, 4 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Done! Gzkn 13:26, 29 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Done! Could use expansion with those familiar with psychology. I bet it could be quite an interesting article... Gzkn 02:44, 30 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The article is nicely ce'd, but it's a wreck - I'll fix it over the next few days, but then - since I'm not a great writer - you all will have to ce it all over again :-) SandyGeorgia (Talk) 15:01, 30 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I completely rewrote this article, since it was basically a stub with almost no accurate content. My prose stinks, so a new CE would be great. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 06:36, 2 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Kosice public transit Rintrah 18:09, 8 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
    • I did a run-through. Not sure about the first sentence though: "The Košice public transit system is a public transport system..." seems kind of redundant. Leaving here for now. Gzkn12:33, 29 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • It is redundant, and I changed it when I did my proofread. The proof is complete, but for some reason (I think having to do with the images in the article), all of the "edit" links that should be on the Level 2 header lines are down at the bottom and obscure the text. Does anyone more experienced than me know how to change it? And can you move this to the "done" section if you do manage to fix it? Galena11 04:00, 30 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
 Done Gzkn 05:15, 30 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
 Done Gzkn 05:48, 30 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Ran through it. "Syllabus" section is confusing and needs cleanup. Gzkn 05:35, 30 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • You're right! I changed it, please have another look. Brisbane2000 16:16, 30 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Looks good.  Done Gzkn 03:29, 31 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Done! Very short, quick, easy, and it should be great now. Adam 06:05, 31 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • OK, all done, everything looks great. I double checked all the names and it looks fine. Good job! Adam 06:11, 31 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Blitz (wrestler): A hilarious chemical byproduct of a testosterone accident — and I thought Element Girl was funny!
  • DONE! Wikified the names of a few more wrestlers as well Adam 16:36, 31 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Looks good. Done! Adam 16:46, 31 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
