[edit]
The following discussion is an archived debate of the proposed deletion of the template below. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page (such as the template's talk page or in a deletion review).

The result of the discussion was speedy delete per WP:G7 (author request). --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 08:56, 1 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

It common for sources to contradict each other, and such situations are handled according to WP:WEIGHT. This newly-created template is not useful, because it is common for such contradictions to be unresolved, which would make the template a permanent fixture on many fine articles where there is no problem to fix. BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 20:16, 30 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

PS If this template is deleted, then its Category:Articles with substantially contradicting sources from September 2018 should be speedily deleted per WP:G6. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 20:17, 30 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Hey! I'm the creator of this template. I agree and would support its deletion. I've created the template solely for an article that cited four, I think it was, sources on basic biographical data, which all contradicted each other. It felt weird to use all four of them according to WP:WEIGHT, so I created this template. Nonetheless, I (now) think a talk page entry will be succinct and that the template has generally no use. The page in question, by the way, is Maximilian Karl Lamoral O'Donnell. — JulkaK (talk) 23:14, 30 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @JulkaK. Thanks for your reply. Woukd it be OK withy you if I speedy deleted the template per WP:G7? --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 02:01, 1 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Hey @BrownHairedGirl, that would be fine! — Preceding unsigned comment added by JulkaK (talkcontribs) 02:23, 1 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This bracket was rarely used, so I replaced it with a more standard 4-team bracket template (e.g., this edit). this one is no longer needed. Frietjes (talk) 15:48, 30 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If this is trying to be a serious module, it's unnecessary because it could be implemented in Wikitext. {{3x|p}}ery (talk) 15:43, 30 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

... and also unusable because it doesn't return anything. {{3x|p}}ery (talk) 15:56, 30 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

unused; could certainly be merged with one of the myriad of 4-Team bracket templates if there are needed features. looks like "4TeamBracket-2-groups" was being used in Ice hockey at the 2006 Winter Olympics until March of this year, when the page was split into subpages, and the subpages are using different bracket templates.
