- Evidence
Lulu Margarida was temporarily blocked from editing for edit warring on the Marília Pêra and Simone Bittencourt de Oliveira articles. He or she was also increasing hostile and abusive towards other editors, including myself, because he disagreed with the major clean up done on the Simone Bittencourt de Oliveira articles. Earlier today, Aburesz tried to restore the article to Lulu's preferred version, marking it as a grammar correction[1], which another editor reverted, so he/she then attempt to restore a few bits of it [2], again copy and pasting straight from the old version. I reverted and left an "unconstructive edit" message about on his talk page. He then left a message on my talk page[3] which I removed without reply, noting in the comments that I suspected it was Lulu on another account. Twenty minutes later, the comments were put back, except it was done by Lulu this time and his comment was to prove his was a sock puppet.[4]. Seems to me he just did. Both accounts are trying to make the same edits to the article, originally under Lulu and now under Aburesz, and they both use the same style of writing when dealing with other editors. The immediate response of Lulu to my ignoring another editor is also circumspect.
- Comments
I'm the editor named above who reverted the first Aburesz edit to Simone. It seems to me this may not be a case of sockpuppetry, but rather meatpuppetry. Aburesz/Arion's language is generally more advanced in terms of English than Margarida's typical comments. I see a lot of of crossover in editing topics relating to the Great White Brotherhood and other neoreligious articles. This may be a case of Margarida asking for edits from another editor while she was blocked. But certainly, reverting back to a version almost exactly like that of Margarida's is quite suspect.
Margarida is a user with a bad record which includes a ban on the PT Wikipedia, and she's already heading towards a potential ArbCom case on the EN Wikipedia. I would strongly advise other users not to behave in a manner which may be interpreted as meatpuppetry for this user.--Dali-Llama 22:17, 11 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Conclusions
If they're not socks, they are meat puppets and jointly being disruptive. Meat puppetry is just as blockable. Blocking both for 72 hours. But as I'm not sure who the master is, not tagging their user pages at this time. — Rlevse • Talk • 22:05, 11 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
