Suspected sockpuppets

Evidence submitted by Nil Einne (talk)

  • Editors should take a read of the proven case Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/Vr here first.
  • RNaidu edited a comment left by Deva 840 [1]. This comment by Deva 840 [2] was placed to a question asked by RNaidu [3] and RNaidu later thanks Deva 840 because it's the 'best' answer [4]. From the edit history, Deva 840 never commented on the RD before this. Yet Deva 840 just happened to notice this question and decide to answer it, coming back after a 5 month absence and then disappearing again. It's not even a question they knew the answer for, since they allegedly just Googled it. Yet it's not like this is the first time Deva heard of Ashoka Prasad [5]. Of course RNaidu had also heard of Ashoka Prasad before they came to the RD [6]. (See previous case re: Ashoka Prasa)
  • RNaidu came back to the RD, this time asking about something they allegedly heard on the NYT and NBC yet they couldn't find from Googling [7]. But as others have found out, it is actually easy to Google [8] for the answer Wikipedia:Reference desk/Science#Copolovian Mischief which leads to a blog about the alleged mistreatment of an unnammed person by an Australian professor. The blog is the only other Google result for the term. While the person who was allegedly mistreated is not named, a look into the Australian professor reveals that the person must be, you've guessed it, Ashoka Prasad.
  • As with Vr and co, both RNaidu and Deva 840 are also interested in psychiatry. In Deva's case List of figures in psychiatry (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) in particular (also List of Kayasthas (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) Colvin Taluqdars' College (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views). (See previous case.)
  • RNaidu's user page says "I am a student of managemnet at Chennai and have just joined Wikipedia". Seem familiar? (See previous case)
  • While there's less evidence for Jfconnolly the history is suspicious. Jfconnolly was one of those who participated in the Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Johnubiprasad [9] [10] [11] [12]. (see previous case) They then disappeared for about 3 years coming back not long after the first case was resolved and the socks were blocked.
  • After coming back, Jfconnolly is similarly interested in Ashok/a Prasad [13] [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Vivette_Glover&diff=prev&oldid=197173538
  • Jfconnolly just came back again and edited Ashok Vijh (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) [14] which other then minor cleanup has be largely written by RNaidu. The edit was 7 minutes before RNaidu's edit to the Reference desk [15].
  • This is the first time I've ever filed a sockpuppetry case so forgive me if I've done anything wrong or didn't provide enough evidence. Also I'm not sure if this is the best way to file a case if I feel a blocked sock puppeteer is back so if this was the wrong well, suggestions for future cases are welcome Nil Einne (talk) 10:43, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • BTW, given this user's history, would a checkuser be warranted? Nil Einne (talk) 10:58, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • I would also like to note in case anyone missed it that the RNaidu has shown below the same spelling errors common among Vr's socks such as teh & woudl. Also the same practice of a lack of spacing between punctuation in a sentence. Nil Einne (talk) 14:01, 18 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Comments by accused parties    See Defending yourself against claims.

I am at present in Goteborg,Sweden completing a course at the University and shall be here until May!!!_I am not sure what this is about!!!!RNaidu —Preceding unsigned comment added by RNaidu (talk • contribs) 11:55, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I jsut read what the accusationas are all about! Please check my IP number.I find teh whole thing surreal!I am at present in Goteborg-have been here since December. And only one of my 30 edits coincides with teh one by Deva_840.It seems one is stretching the imagination too far-I do not know whether to feel annoyed(RNaidu (talk) 09:55, 14 January 2009 (UTC))[reply]

I have just got another message!I am not sure how to answer that except to point out that

Ã¥:it can be checked that my IP is Folkeuniversittet IP from Goteborg

b.I have created 3 new articles in my short stay with the wiki -Harindranath Chattopadhyaya whose illustrious sister was married to a fellow Naidu -Rishi Prakash Tyagi who was prosecuted in Delhi by my sister -Ashok Vijh the first Indian to head the Science section of Royal Society of Canada

plus about 20 other edits none of which clash with another name or nåmes as mentioned.

As mentioned in one of my edits my close relative is a professor of psychiatry in Chennai and I am myself a Member of Mental Welfare Foundation of India(Not mentioned earler as I thought that was superfluous). My management major is in healthcare. As far as knowing Prasad is concerned, most Indians who read the newspapers woudl know him let alone those with a specific interst in mental health-he heads Ranch Institute of Neuropsychiatry and Allied Sciences, the largest mental hospital in Asia[17]

and is frequently on the TV-in fcat he examined the candidates in Chennai in 2007 when he stayed with my relatives! Is that a crime!

But I do have a question-am I entitled to an apology from the person who made the accusation if you do not find his reasons clinching enough? My questina was asked after llistening to a broadcast on medical malpractice which was broadcasted in Sweden and contained refrences to an Indian doctor Haneef [18]

who was maltreated in Australia-Dr.Smith made some very caustic remarks about doctors in Australia not supporting Haneef and surely the transcript would be available.

Is it the policy that every if there is a similarity of interests you raise the charge of disreputable behaviour?

(RNaidu (talk) 11:49, 14 January 2009 (UTC))[reply]

Did you read the evidence? There's still many questions you haven't answered. Why for example did you edit Deva's post? Nil Einne (talk) 19:50, 14 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

To correct the spelling-in Tamil the "l" sound is always followed by an "a" and "t" is always "th"

Conclusions

Confirmed Currently available technical evidence confirms the relationship between the following accounts:

Stale User:Vr et al's IPs are too stale for linkage to the above.
