They all have very similar user pages and are all making edits trying to mass-add citations using Citation Hunt, a tool I loathe (with results ranging from inept to sometimes useful). I know IP's can be very dynamic in the location that they claim to be in but I'd like a checkuser to confirm/allay my suspicions about all of these users being the same person or perhaps find further accounts. Additional information needed - they all claim to be students. How sure are we that these are socks and not just a misguided educational assignment or editathon? Spicy (talk) 17:53, 9 June 2024 (UTC)
- @Spicy: Yeah it's weird ... They're all claiming to study in different fields, though, but being first-years makes this a little more plausible; Redpanda20231 claims to be studying economics, RedSquirrel22 claims to be studying nursing, and MarketingStudent2004 says they're studying, well, marketing (but also mentions an internship (which makes the whole thing even stranger). RedSquirrel22 says they're studying at University College London but term 3 has just ended there. I might be slow to respond further for the next 24 hours or so.
