Swim Dude (talk · contribs), in two years of editing, edits only Michael Milken and the associated talk page. The general direction is to polish Milken's image. 12.44.44.11 (talk · contribs), in one year of editing, edits primarily Milkin-related articles. That IP address comes up in reverse DNS as ExecPro Inc [1], which hosts "mikemilkin.com", "milkeninstitute.com", etc. I've had some minor edit warring recently with the two of them. See [2]. Since they have two accounts, they can avoid 3RR problems. John Nagle (talk) 21:06, 13 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry, but checkuser will not disclose connections between accounts and IPs. TNXMan 21:19, 13 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Right. That would violate anonymity. So how is this sort of thing handled? --John Nagle (talk) 21:48, 13 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It's usually left up to the judgment of the reviewing admin. Basically, the admin will need to decide (after reviewing the edits of the account and the IP) three things. One- Does the editor behind the account and the IP appear to the be same person? Two- If so, are they violating policy when they edit anonymously (by creating false consensus or, in this case, avoiding 3RR sanctions)? Three- If yes again, what sort of adminly action is necessary to handle the situation? TNXMan 01:11, 14 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Slight note - I moved this from "Swim Dude" to "SwimDude". — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 04:10, 14 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • information Administrator note I've blocked the IP for three days and warned the master about logging in. Hopefully that puts an end to it. — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 04:15, 14 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

User has been making POV edits to Lowell Milken (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views), Milken Archive of Jewish Music (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views), Michael Milkin (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views), and Milken Family Foundation (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) by removing a chunk of well-sourced material from some of the articles ([3], [4]). • I have a feeling this is meatpuppetry, but as there's a COI case here and other factors at work, I'm adding a CU to clarify. The data for Skeen4772, Shsueh and Hqteditor44 is stale, so there's nothing that can be done about them - and CU won't have a comment on the IP. — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 13:12, 26 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
