Suspected sockpuppets

I suspect blocked User:Starkiller88 of creating a suckpuppet by the name of User:DN-boards1 because:

  1. Editing the same subjects (proposed spacecraft missions and Solar System bodies) while focusing on "life on other planets" [1] — with the same writing style and a sustained disruption and WP:OR attitude as Starkiller88.
  2. Prolific upload of copyrighted images and the creation trivial/fringe stubs (often through redirects) within short times, without references or with a single reference, as Starkiller88 used to do: -Life on Europa [2]; Life on Mercury He falsified the merge consensus [3] and reverted the redirect: [4]; This is something that banned Starkiller88 would do too: Life on Enceladus [5]; Life on Callisto [6]; Life on Venus [7], [8]; Life on Ganymede [9]; Template:Life in the Universe [10].
  3. The stubs and edits both of them create, almost always contain a significant amount of Original Research, extrapolations, assumptions, editorial comments, and various critical statements without references. When he uses an inline citation, it often does NOT support the statement written. One example is this false entry that scientists discovered several new "temporary" natural satellites of Earth: [11]. I reverted that ridiculous statement, yet he inserted it again, waving a seemingly reliable reference that does not support that information at all: [12]. That is a hallmark of Starkiller88.
  4. He presents new stubs of several past spacecraft concepts as if they were formally proposed, planned, funded, or scheduled missions in development. Examples: [13]; On a cancelled concept he wrote that "...it is assumed that the probe will instead fly with the Jupiter Icy Moons Orbiter." [14]. That is a hallmark of Starkiller88's consistent Original Research on spacecraft missions.
  5. See also the multiple speedy delete messages to Starkiller88: [15], and the multiple speedy delete messages to User:DN-boards1: [16]. Both accounts operate similarly and draw the same attention/maintenance.
  6. Both users ignored my initially amicable feedback I placed in their talk page. [17].
  7. As Starkiller88, user DN-boards1 sometimes adds good-faith edits, and sometimes blatant vandalism: [18].
  8. This week I got harassing messages from both User:Starkiller88 (using 103.244.189.220 and 103.244.189.243 [19], [20] and from User:DN-boards1.([21])
  9. Both user:Starkiller88 and User:DN-boards1 volunteered in Wikipedia that they suffer of autism.([22])
  • Note: Evidently, fellow editor User:Blaue Max also contests the misleading use of the sources quoted by DN-boards1, and also openly stated his suspicion that DN-boards1 is a suckpuppet: [23] BatteryIncluded (talk) 18:57, 27 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Eh? I wasn't notified of this. Fortunately, I stumbled across this SPI. No, I'm not Starkiller88, but I've heard of the guy. Operation Phobos-Gone, I know of what he did. But I'm not a sockpuppet. I'm not SK88. I have heard of this guy, but I'm...not him, sorry. You've got the wrong person. I don't go around spouting nonsense about Anonymous or something. I was actually planning, after reviewing the Life on Mercury article, to vote to delete it, but the discussion closed before I gave my input. Reverting the redirect was because the redirects for discussion had come up. I figured it was best to revert it to original state while the discussion happened. I apologize for confusing funding for additional research with approval - but I did get it right with EMFM, Mars 2020, etc. I apologize if I came off like Starkiller88, but I never threatened BI. All I did was point out that he was IMO not being CIVIL.

Regardless, I'm not a sockpuppet, I'm not Starkiller88. I only know of this user through happenstance - I sometimes browse 8chan and ED in my spare time. DN-boards1 (talk) 01:57, 3 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Clerk, CheckUser, and/or patrolling admin comments[edit]

  •  Clerk note: First I'd like to just note that Starkiller88 is stale for CU. That said, from looking at timestamps, a connection between Starkiller88 and DN-boards1 seems unlikely. The times of day at which they edit are completely non-overlapping - I suspect they live on opposite sides of the planet. Either Starkiller88 moved 12,000 miles since his block, he became a night owl, or these are different people. On top of that, I find them to have very dissimilar writing styles. I think the evidence you've posted offers a lot of similarities between the two accounts, but not enough to conclude socking. • I've come to similar findings as Someguy1221. I'm closing it with no action taken for now. Mike VTalk 18:39, 13 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
