Suspected sockpuppets

ScottSullivan1 changed the year on A Quiet Place Part II from 2021 to 2020 and added a hidden note threatening to report others for vandalism [1]. I reverted that content and it was immediately restored by a brand new account, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. This new account's first edit was to create a bluelinked user page, and then restored ScottSullivan1's content in the article 3 times (reverted by ClueBot, then me, and then another editor). The content was then immediately restored by a second new account, TheEditorWithTheEdits. This account was created in October 2020 and had made only one edit (to the article Freaky (film) [2], which was made just a few hours after ScottSullivan1 had edited the page, although adding different content). This second account made their second edits today, first to bluelink its user page and then to restore the same year and note to the Quiet Place article, the same behavior as the previous new account. ScottSullivan1 then created a thread on the article's talk page to "vote" about the change (Talk:A Quiet Place Part II#Vote: Move 2021 to 2020 Permanent), and the other two accounts immediately added similar comments of "support" (including TheEditorWithTheEdits mentioning films that ScottSullivan1 had previously posted about to my user talk page [3]). TheEditorWithTheEdits also repeatedly edited another comment by ScottSullivan1 [4] [5]. ScottSullivan1 previously left a strange comment on my talk page about being accused of "vandalism", although the only message about vandalism was given to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood by Cluebot. The user did not respond when I asked them if they operated that account as well. Given the similar editing behavior for these accounts and the fact that the one account was created in October 2020 but not used until now, I am also requesting a checkuser for any other potential sleeper accounts that have been used recently. – wallyfromdilbert (talk) 22:26, 10 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Added another account above, Scott Sullivan 1997, which is the earliest created account of the four (created in September 2018, compared to January 2020 for ScottSullivan1), and was also used in the past week to change the year on A Quiet Place Part II [6]. Both Scott Sullivan 1997 and ScottSullivan1 just put a "retired" template on their talk pages today after this report was filed [7] [8], along with TheEditorWithTheEdits [9]. These three accounts also requested to have all their bluelinked user pages deleted today at the same time. There also appears to be edits to many of the same pages between these accounts and a previously banned and similarly named account, ScottSullivanTV (talk+ · tag · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · spi block · block log · CA · CheckUser(log) · investigate · cuwiki). Not sure which account should be considered the master account, as it appears ScottSullivan1 is not the first or last account created by this user. – wallyfromdilbert (talk) 23:56, 10 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
