Suspected sockpuppets[edit]

Back in May, Doug Weller blocked Rayner111, an account belonging to psychologist J. E. R. Staddon (see admission), from editing his own article. Today I see that another, similarly named account called Herayner (note that the "R" in J. E. R. Staddon stands for "Rayner") has edited the article to add back in a long list of the author's publications. Looking at this second account's contribution history, I see that it's been sleeping since 2019 and has been exclusively used to edit this BLP and related topics. Finally, both accounts tried to publish drafts of the article Theoretical behaviorism, about Staddon's pet idea, before eventually succeeding. CU will be stale here but the DUCK factor is strong.

Rayner111 is certainly aware of the block, since they argued with Doug about it on their talk page. Given this, I believe we're looking at a clear case of block evasion in furtherance of COI editing. Thanks. Generalrelative (talk) 16:55, 23 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Obvious WP:Duck block, blocked both accounts as the Rayner111's block was only a partial block. Doug Weller talk 07:31, 24 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
