Suspected sockpuppets

Evidence submitted by MPorciusCato (talk)

In article Swedish-speaking Finns, a editor with a very strong view on the nature of the article receives from time to time help from anonymous editors. Stylistically, the editor seems to be the same. --MPorciusCato (talk) 16:06, 11 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I plea guilty. From time to time I forget to log in. Ofcourse eveything is relative, by emphasising my "strong" views you obviously implicitly convey your own values. Let say I have a strong view against the non-referenced self-manifestation I see too often in the article. Obviously, Podomi is using sockpuppetry as a convenient device to circumvent the three-revert rule. His activities consist almost exclusively in very insistent POV-pushing of an extremely ethnonationalistic kind. He is a radical Germanic nationalist of the völkisch, Blut und Boden type. His comments often have unmistakably racialist overtones. He has admitted being a sympathiser of a certain extremistic organisation. He has, among other things, suppressed valid and sourced information. He seems to be testing how many rules of Wikipedia he'll be allowed to break before he'll be banned indefinitely from editing Wikipedia. Monegasque (talk) 08:17, 13 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • WHOIS returns a Microsoft IP range (I believe around Redmond) and a Comcast IP in Fremont, California. I don't know how this socking is occurring (possibly meatpuppetry) unless the Microsoft IP is located somewhere other than Redmond. Foxy Loxy Pounce! 01:54, 14 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, the Whois of the addresses referenced above points to the Helsinki School of Economics (a Finnish-speaking university in Helsinki, Finland). --MPorciusCato (talk) 15:13, 16 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
How strange, I swore it read differently. Hmmm, well, never mind, must be getting mixed up. Foxy Loxy Pounce! 22:40, 16 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Not much we can do here. PeterSymonds (talk) 14:56, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The "extremist" organization I admitted to support is Finland-Swedish association, an NGO, whose ex-chief, a civil laywer currently works at Swedens bureau of ethnic discrimination. The reason I support the organization is obviously because the organization is advocating minority rights and has good connections to European counsil.
http://www.minelres.lv/reports/finland/PDF_Finland_FSA.pdf,
Rest of the nonsense I won´t even bother to comment. For the international audience which may be curious of why Swedish-speaking Finns/Finland-Swedes, a 5% minority cause such a fuss I could address that the reasons are following.
'1)'Highly nationalistic Finnish atmorphere.
Edward Dutton, 2008.http://www.antrocom.net/upload/sub/antrocom/040208/14-Antrocom.pdf
"Anttonen (2005, 125) remarks that Finland is a strongly consensus-based societywhich sees itself as being very united. He argues that Finns generally dislike outsiders to a greater extent than other European nations. It is thus, he argues, a highly patriotic society and this aspect of the myth may reflect that".
2)Finland-Swedes has a higher social prestige in the country, despite socio-economic studies suggest otherwise. In a young country as Finland, (gained its independence 1917) the Swedish part of Finland-Swedes is highly taboo-laden issue in Finland. The other national minorities such as Sami and Roma do not face similar pressure to diminish their ethnic identity, why? Historical burden is working against the Swedish culture in Finland
"McRae distinguishes a gap in Finland between the formal ´linguistic peace´ and the practical ´linguistic instability´ which put the Finland-Swedes in a ´sosiological, psychological and political´ minority position. Consistent with this, Allardt(2000:35) claims that the most serious contemporary problem for the Finland Swedes is the members of the group themselves: their ´submissiviness´and willingness to ´conceal their Finland-Swedishness´ in the face of the majority. Furthermore, the Finland-Swedes relations to Sweden are considered a sensitive isssue in Finland. Höckerstedt (2000:8-9) argues that an emphasis on the ´Swedish´part of the Finland-Swedish identity is ´taboo-laden´ and regarded as unpatriotic".
Hedberg, C. 2004.The Finland-Swedish wheel of migration. Identity, networks and integration 1976-2000. Geographiska regionstudier 61.87pp.Uppsala. ISBN 91-506-1788-5."
The two gentlemen behind the sockpuppet have a long history of trying to censor me. They accuse of me jeopardizing Finland-Swedes and creating tumultuous ethno-linguistic environment for refuring to give one-side view of Finland-Swedes which fits to the fenno nationalistic framework. I don´t believe that low self-confidence of certain natiolists circuits in Finland should prevent the article of being neutral. The grand theory of these two figures is that I am a some kind of an agent provocateur. Astonishingly these fellows have even accused me of crime. I feel that it´s ok downplay the Swedish aspect of Finland-Swedes in internal political debate in Finland, however I feel we are in a wrong track incase we are attempting to bring mental environment of Finland to an international encyclopedia which should be informative and neutral.
What comes to my offenses, as said I´ve accidently forgot to log in several times. I believe my argument and references are sound enough, there´s no reason for me engaging in the violation of 3RR.
