Suspected sockpuppets[edit]

This is a pro forma case, I will handle tagging and blocking but just want to have it logged here. Emphasis01 was already  Confirmed to Headtothestripe here, but I was in an AGF mood and there was zero editing overlap between the accounts so I let it slide with a warning. There is now a minor overlap at Chris Stussy, which isn't itself critical to the findings but noteworthy nonetheless. More important is that Headtothestripe has gotten themselves blocked for edit warring, and there's plenty of tendentious behavior on both accounts. Both have a habit of deleting the warnings sent to their talkpage, and both accounts display WP:OWNership of content, personal attacks, and edit warring. The behavioral evidence is conclusive on it's own, even without the previous CU confirming it. Accounts were also created 11 minutes apart.

Full disclosure: I received an email from Valjean asking about the previous sockpuppetry warnings, which prompted me to take another look at the behavior of these accounts after my previous warning. The WordsmithTalk to me 22:59, 23 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Suspected sockpuppets[edit]

Just like the sock Summerdays1: (1) following my edits on miscellaneous pages, (2) using nonsensical edit summaries like "historical" [1], "fort" [2], or "currency" [3] that for no reason just revert any change I make to an article, (3) edit-warring them back in when I revert, and (4) same desperate attempts to WP:CANVASS me to administrators [4] GuardianH (talk) 21:49, 30 May 2024 (UTC) GuardianH (talk) 21:49, 30 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

An additional note: I've filed this SPI under Summerdays1, but apparently there is also an older account — User:Pictureperfect2, whose SPI investigation was conducted by Blablubbs and Drmies at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Pictureperfect2/Archive. Drmies Thank you for the SPI. This particular user is venting at User talk:Offthefield, targeting myself and making an assortment of threats. There's probably no clearer evidence of their intent to WP:HOUND me in the future with more socks. Is there a chance of getting a rangeblock?

Further, the multiple accounts are not relevant. You have to have more than one username to edit when you have been blocked even once.

Talk about being a sucker. GuardianH is deplorable, wicked even, a vandal of the highest ilk AND YOU idiots can't see that.

If you bothered, you could see GuardianH was told most of this months ago and even castigated. Nothing changed. They move with seeming impunity. I promise you this will not continue. They will be driven off the site.

  • Agree with Drmies' findings concerning the non-stale accounts. Based on historical data, these accounts are editing from the same distinctive geolocation as Summerdays1/Pictureperfect2, which, combined with the behaviour, makes me fairly certain that they belong to the same operator.
