So we have Miss Paris Slue edit-warring for days across multiple articles changing the term "Byzantine Empire" to "Eastern Roman Empire", against multiple editors and established consensus, and when s/he doesn't get her/his way this IP sock embarks on a complementary campaign erasing the Greek onomatology from the very same articles Miss Paris Slue was edit-warring on just a few days before. Looking at the history of these articles paints an uncanny picture. The sequence is: Miss Paris Slue edit-warring recently, Slue gets reverted by several editors, IP comes in immediately after to start the new round of edit-warring. Sounds like a duck quacking into a megaphone to me. Δρ.Κ. λόγοςπράξις 17:23, 22 June 2015 (UTC)

- Interest in the Latin to Greek transition of the Byzantine Empire
This is just a sample by no means exhaustive:
- Master Slue:
That's when Heraclius switched the court language from Latin to Greek and reformed the military and administrative divisions from obviously Roman to what are now seen as Byzantine.
vs. IP sock:this was the latin language's time as for language of the administration, this person doesn't appear to be evidently ethnic greek or speaker
- Master Slue:
The Eastern Empire itself would've ended in 610 AD. That's when Heraclius switched the court language from Latin to Greek and reformed the military and administrative divisions from obviously Roman to what are now seen as Byzantine.
vs. IP sock:removin greek as it was still the Latin era during this ruler and is not evidenced that he was a greek speaker
- Master Slue:
I'd still say the Eastern Empire lasted until 610 AD. Not only did Heraclius change the official language to Greek, he also changed the administrative and military divisions from what is seen as "Roman" to what is seen now as "Byzantine."
vs. IP sock:I think it was latin that was adminstrative language only, this person is said to be Thraco-Roman

Clerk, CheckUser, and/or patrolling admin comments[edit]
- WHOIS shows that the /20 range beginning at 148.178.32.0 is registered to cloudmosa.com, some kind of web hosting site. A check using http://tools.wmflabs.org/xtools/rangecontribs (a tool which is alive again) suggests that the entire /20 is probably vandalism. So I've gone ahead with a hardblock of 148.178.32.0/20 (block range · block log (global) · WHOIS (partial)) for two months, marking it as {{webhostblock}}. Please comment if you disagree. Thanks, EdJohnston (talk) 03:27, 23 June 2015 (UTC)
It seems this block doesn't cover the first IP listed at top of this report, 107.178.32.0. This IP is also cloudmosa, and the range is also a /20. So I went ahead with a block of 107.178.32.0/20 (block range · block log (global) · WHOIS (partial)) per the previous rationale. I don't know how many other ranges belong to cloudmosa, but they should most likely be blocked as well. I left a note for User:Materialscientist for review since he is the last admin to block the 107.* range. EdJohnston (talk) 17:53, 23 June 2015 (UTC)
- I do agree with a hardblock, and I'd even extend the duration. Materialscientist (talk) 22:10, 23 June 2015 (UTC)
- The SPI range is blocked, the master is warned. Closing this now. Vanjagenije (talk) 10:32, 27 June 2015 (UTC)
