Mhkarim shares the presumed surname Karim, and has started to add back the Inayat Karim Medical Centre spam links etc to Jhelum (City) that INAYAT KARIM and Manchester boy put there. When I reported this IK/MB pair yesterday I regrettably misfiled it under Mb instead of IK, for which my apologies. It seems to be very determined attempt at inserting spam. I have just been emailed thus by Mhkarim using wikipedia email:

Dear sir,
i am the owner of Inayat Karim Medical Center, Rathian, Jhelum. We are the only well equiped diagnostic center which provide with MRI, C.T Scan, mamography and cardiac investigation with emergency help and recovery. The diagnostic center is under my father's name Inayat Karim(late) who was also a first muslim engineer before the partition in bridge workshop jhelum. I am in Manchester, Uk. Inayat Karim Medical Center which pride of Jhelum and only center with these facilities in region and i am proud of Jhelum and my roots are Jhelum and this is the reason i have invested huge amount of money to help people of Jhelum. We have sevral times edited our Diagnostic center's page on Wikipedia but it has been deleted every time for some reason, please let us know how rectify this problem.

These IP addresses have added very similar contributions for Jhelum (city) spamming the Inayat Karim Medical Centre that Manchester Boy and the other socks have. This guy is determined at spamming this stuff. I have no real idea if there is any point in reporting an IP sock, nor whether I ought to request Checkuser evidence. Good call, Timtrent. I actually noticed another similar IP address doing similar editing 149.254.218.46 (talk+ · tag · contribs · filter log · WHOIS · RBLs · proxy check · block user · spi block · block log · cross-wiki contribs · CheckUser (log)). They are all on the same network. I propose a temporary range block but I request checkuser for the range 149.254.216.0 - 149.254.219.255 to see if I am going to create any undesired collateral blocks by blocking.Valley2city‽ 18:48, 14 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Current status – Completed: Reviewed by a Checkuser, results and comments are below.}} Request from patrolling admin for Checkuser. Though it definitely quacks like a WP:DUCK and based on previously closed cases we now have the IP culprit(s), but has been editing on a range. I want to know if there are any constructive users who might be collaterally affected by a range block. Please check range 149.254.216.0 - 149.254.219.255. Conclusions
  • IPs are  Possible based on technical data, but your best bet is through contrib evidence. With regards to a rangeblock, there's far too much collateral damage. Same edit patterns in Jhelum (city). I suspect too much collateral damage will be caused by a range block, so this is more for amassing evidence than any other purpose. Broadly this guy just spams his medical centre again and again and again into the article and waits to see if anyone notices. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 23:28, 14 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This appears more subtle than prior suspected socks of this user. Nonetheless there is substantial activity in Jhelum (city) to give rise to suspicions about similarity. The main area is the insistence on spam adding the Inayat Karim Medical Centre.
